Welcome to a special edition of HLR Spotlight, showcasing Ontario’s talented High School writers.
The Faculty of Media & Creative Arts’ Bachelor of Creative & Professional Writing (BCPW) program is excited to bring you the five winners of its inaugural HLR High-School Spotlight Writing Contest.
The contest accepted both creative nonfiction and short stories from secondary school students from across the province of Ontario. It was judged by celebrated writers Naben Ruthnum, Zoe Whittall, and Meaghan Strimas, who coordinates and teaches in the BCPW.
